Mason is an innovative and versatile artist known for his work in  ambient music, and studio and live drumming. With a unique compositional approach that blends field recordings with electronic soundscapes, he creates immersive auditory experiences that transport listeners to new realms. His passion is for capturing the subtleties of the natural world through adding organic layer to his compositions, and infusing them with a sense of place and atmosphere.

In addition to his ambient music projects, Mason is a skilled music producer, adept at weaving intricate textures and sonic layers into his work. His expertise in production ensures that each track not only stands out for its originality but that it also resonates with clarity and depth.

All of this is built upon decades as an accomplished drummer, allowing his rhythmic sensibility to influence all aspects of his music, allowing him to experiment with complex patterns and dynamics in his ambient work.

 

Mason has had the pleasure of working with: Angus & Julia Stone, Paul Baloche, The Discovery Channel, 070 Shake, Lewis Capaldi, NOTD, Bibi Bourelly, The Lone Bellow, Young Oceans, The Last Royals, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Sandra McCracken, Mike Donehey, Annaleigh Ashford, and Matt Doyle. and has played on Broadway's Kinky Boots, The Prom, and RENT (Off-Broadway), The Lion King, The Waitress, Finding Neverland and Little Shop Of Horrors.

 

He is also proficient in Ableton Live, programming tracks for current the production of Little Shop of Horrors, La Jolla Playhouse’s FLY, Pretty Woman London, Young Oceans, and many others.
